CSE’s Barrington Miller recently sat down with Joel Shacker, CEO of Mota Ventures Corp. (CSE:MOTA), to discuss the company’s newly-listed cannabis cultivation business in Colombia.
In this discussion, Joel shares the three core reasons why Colombia is one of the ideal countries in the world for cannabis cultivation (2:04), the linguistic meaning behind the name “Mota” (6:07), and Joel’s many tips on what to eat while in Colombia (7:08).
Listen until the end to hear his perspective on what it means to work as a young CEO in a foreign country and Mota’s future plans to potentially expand the business beyond CBD.
The CSE gladly welcomed Mota Ventures Corp. (CSE:MOTA) to the CSE Media Centre on December 6th, 2019 for the 25th Market Open hosted by the CSE. Not only did this event mark an important moment for Mota Ventures, it is also an exciting new milestone for the CSE.
Mota Ventures Corp. is a vertically integrated low-cost producer and exporter of CBD products worldwide. With a cultivation asset in Colombia, the company specializes in the production of high-quality CBD oil for wholesale distribution. Mota has developed a team of industry professionals experienced in both the public markets and in the cultivation and distribution of medical cannabis, and looks to capitalize on progressive government legislation aimed at making Colombia the number one low cost producer of cannabis in the world.
“We are extremely excited to be able to ring the bell here today. It means a lot that we are able to finally be listed publicly,” remarked Mota Ventures President and CEO Joel Shacker. “I’m really proud of the team that we have. They’ve really done a lot to get to this point: our team down in Colombia, who’s handling that entire cultivation side, and then the team up in Vancouver, who has brought all the public market sides.”
“We’re really looking forward to building out this facility to its full potential and being able to really cultivate, extract, and export non-psychoactive cannabis,” Shacker added.
